Chemistry

“We all enjoyed your [Geoff Neuss’s] visit and found it very useful.”
[Amr Mokhtar, Headmaster, Greenlands School, Cairo, Egypt, 2008]

Design Technology

InThinking responded efficiently to our request for onsite training in Design Technology and Tim Weston visited our school in October 2008. He established a good rapport with the teachers, diagnosed the relevant issues, and made specific and tangible suggestions for improvement that could be used directly in classes and in preparation for launching projects. This allowed our teachers to get the workshop experience at a lower cost than sending them out of school.”
[John McMurtry, Munich International School, German, 2008]

English A1

“The workshop was excellent and I know I can speak for the department in saying we all felt invigorated, energised and better equipped to teach the course.”
[Colin Grant, Cairo American College, 2007]

English B

“David was marvellous, patient with our questions and doubts. He gave us a clear introduction to the aims and requirements, with some very useful notes and worksheets, and plenty of humour to leaven the lump.”
[Lynette Timme, Ibn Khuldoon High School, 2007]

French B

We just finished two marvellous days of workshop with Ann and Marc Abrioux. We had productive work sessions and everybody was engaged and involved. It was a great experience and my Language team got lots of ideas for their work. The sessions about the future changes for Language A and B were very useful!
[Dorothee Prendergast, Head of Languages, International School of Luxembourg, 2009]

History

“Last May Mariam Habibi led a three day workshop in IB History (Part One) here at Ibn Khuldoon National School in Bahrain. The workshop was attended by all the eight members of the Social Studies Department. We were very pleased with Mariam's professionalism. Her material reflected the needs and experience levels of the department, and she included many examples of how to implement the IB guidelines within the realities of the classroom. Her vast experience in IB History was very apparent. She invited questions and comments and responded directly to the topics raised by the group. The insights gained by her presentation and the resources that she identified have been helpful on a consistent basis. I would unconditionally recommend Mariam as a workshop leader and I look forward to another opportunity to attend one of her sessions.”
[Wayne Cornack, Head of Social Studies, Ibn Khuldoon National School, Bahrain, 2008]

Theory of Knowledge

“On our recent professional development day our IB diploma faculty were immensely impressed by Richard's presentation. He challenged and coerced us all to reflect upon our teaching in order to weave a richer tapestry for students' learning. Moreover, his visual images and entertaining rhetoric provided a non-stop feed to the intellect. We all left at the end of the day feeling inspired and exhilarated, and I have already had many requests for his return.”
[Simon Watson, Copenhagen International School, Denmark, 2007]

“I would like to take the opportunity to tell you that we were very pleased with the TOK workshop run by Bill Roberts at Växjö Katedralskola on 16 August. It’s not always easy to interest our staff, but on this day they were all engaged and many of them told me afterwards that this was the most inspiring INSET day we’ve ever had.”
[Sofi Nystedt, IBDP Coordinator, Växjö Katedralskola, 2010]
