Educating the Whole Person Workshop
Middle Years Teachers & Administrators - 19 to 21 February 2010 - Barcelona, Spain
“To be educated is not to arrive at a destination, but to travel with a different view.”We are pleased to invite Middle Years teachers to the InThinking Workshop on Educating the Whole Person. The aim of this workshop is to foster a deeper understanding of what it means to educate the whole person and to explore related themes. Among the topics covered will be:
- How the Brain Learns
- Motivation & emotional intelligence
- Approaches to learning
- Contextualised, trans-disciplinary & project based learning
- Fostering creativity
- International mindedness
There will also be optional sessions in which participants can focus on a science-based or arts-based theme. The workshop will be interactive in nature and will seek to combine theory and practice. Participants will be invited to share examples of successful classroom strategies.

The workshop will take place at the Barceló Hotel Sants in Barcelona. The registration fee is 680 euros or 580 pounds. Since there are only a limited number of places available on the workshops we recommend that you apply early. The deadline for registration is Friday 29 January 2010.
